Callihan, from Neptune Beach, Florida, is listed as a shortstop on PerfectGame.org and can also play third base. He bats left handed and throws right. Currently, he's playing summer baseball for the Central Florida Gators

Callihan is ranked the No. 6 shortstop in the country and the No. 38 prospect nationally. He's the first recruit to commit from the 2019 class, but joins fellow Floridians Hunter Ruth, Bryce Hulett, Blaze Alexander, Charlie Welch and Shane Roberts as Gamecock commitments.
