Junior linebacker Ernest Hawkins is no longer with the South Carolina football team, GamecockCentral.com has learned. The 6-foot-1, 224-pounder will look to transfer.

The Maryland product transferred to South Carolina last January from junior college. He played in six games last season and registered one tackle and a quarterback hurry.
