Guidry removes name from commitment list
South Carolina is down a commitment after Raymond (Miss.) Hinds Community College wide receiver Stephen Guidry announced he was reopening his recruitment on Twitter Friday afternoon.
"(I'd) like to thank the coaches and fans of the University of South Carolina for the opportunity and the vast amount of love but after discussing things with my family, we feel it's safe that I decommit from USC and reopen my recruitment. #USCWillForeverBeTop5"

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Guidry originally committed to South Carolina co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon on the first day of March.
"They need wide receivers and I'm trying to be a starter," Guidry said at the time. "I talked to coach Bryan McClendon and Coach (Will) Muschamp. They were excited. They said 'welcome to the family.' It feels great. It's been a dream to play in the SEC."
The former Livonia (La.) High standout, who has three to play three, has recently started receiving more interest from home-state LSU.
