Gamecocks in the Pros: July 18-25

MLB

Jackie Bradley Jr. went 10-for-26 (.385) with Boston with three runs scored, a home run and five RBIs. He's slugging .546 with an .927 OPS.

Steve Pearce was activated off Tampa's disabled list July 19 and has gone 5-for-22 (.227) with a home run, three runs scored and four RBIs since then. He's hitting .311 in July.

Justin Smoak went 1-for-8 (.125) with Toronto. He hit a home run and is hitting .300 this month.

Sam Dyson had three relief appearances for Texas, giving up no earned runs in four innings. He has a 2.38 ERA and picked up his 20th save of the season Monday.

Whit Merrifield hit 1-for-13 (.077) for Kansas City two runs and a RBI. He was sent back down to Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

Triple-A

Christian Walker hit 10-for-26 (.385) with the Norfolk Tides (Baltimore) with five runs scored and five RBIs. He also hit a home run. Walker's hit .359 this month.

Michael Roth started one game for the Round Rock Express (Texas). He pitched seven innings of shutout baseball, giving up only two hits. He struck out eight and won the game, improving to 4-2 in Triple-A.

Brian Harper pitched 1.1 inning of relief for the Syracuse Chiefs (Washington), giving up no hits and no earned runs. He struck out two batters. He's only given up earned runs in one appearance in Triple-A.

Tyler Webb had two appearances for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Yankees). He gave up one earned run total on three hits while striking out five batters.

Double-A

Peter Mooney went 3-for-19 (.158) with the Jacksonville Suns (Miami) with three runs scored.

Evan Marzilli went 2-for-11 (.182) with the Mobile BayBears (Arizona). He scored four runs and is batting .179 since July 13.

Joel Seddon started two games for the Midland Rockhounds (Oakland). He combined to give up two earned runs on 13 hits in 13 innings pitched. He won both games and improves to 4-4.

Evan Beal had two appearances for the Nortwest Arkansas Naturals, pitching four innings of perfect baseball. He struck out two batters.

Jordan Montgomery started two games for the Trenton Thunder (Yankees). He pitched 8.1 innings and gave up five earned runs on seven hits while striking out a combined 15 batters.

Grayson Greiner went 4-for-17 (.235) for the Erie SeaWolves (Detroit) with four RBIs.

Single-A Advanced

Kyle Martin went 5-for-20 (.250) for the Clearwater Threshers (Philadelphia). He hit a home run, scored five runs and drove in another. He's also on a four-game hit streak.

Tanner English remains on the Fort Meyers Miracle (Minnesota) disabled list.

LB Dantzler went 4-for-16 (.250) for the Dunedin Blue Jays (Toronto).

Joey Pankake went 3-for-20 (.150) for the Lakeland Flying Tigers (Detroit) with two runs and four RBIs. He also hit a home run.

Max Schrock is on a six-game hitting streak for the Potomac Nationals (Washington), going 8-for-28 (.286) this week. He's hitting .362 since July 15.

Jack Wynkoop started two games for the Modesto Nuts (Colorado), going a combined 12 innings and giving up three earned runs on 13 hits. He won one start and lost another, moving him to 3-3 since being promoted.

Single-A Full Season

Taylor Widener pitched 2.1 perfect innings in relief for the Staten Island Yankees (Yankees). He has not allowed a run since he went pro. He picked up the win and is 2-0 this season.

Dom Thompson-Williams went 1-for-15 (.067) for the Staten Island Yankees (Yankees) and hit his first professional home run.

Gene Cone went 3-for-21 (.143) for the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) with four runs scored.

Rookie Season

Marcus Mooney went 11-for-30 (.367) for the Danville Braves (Atlanta) with six runs and two RBIS. He's hitting .301 professionally.

Braden Webb hasn't appeared yet for the AZL Brewers (Milwaukee).
