Victoria Patrick committed to head coach Dawn Staley Wednesday.

The South Carolina women's basketball program Wednesday added a commitment from Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater class of 2016 guard Victoria Patrick, according to a post on Patrick's Twitter.

"I am happy to announce that I am a Gamecock!!!" Patrick Tweeted. "I will be attending the University of South Carolina for my college career. I would like to thank all of the programs who offered me and continued to recruit me throughout my process. It has been an amazing experience. Now it's time to focus on the next step as a South Carolina Gamecock."

The 5-foot-8 combo-guard chose South Carolina over Syracuse, Penn State, Miami and Xavier.

Patrick is rated the No. 25 guard in her class by ESPN.com.

The three-star prospect is considered an excellent shooter who can stretch defenses according to her ESPN profile.

"Off-guard with smooth stroke on jumper brings respect to the arc; secondary handle in pressure, uptempo game; delivers on perimeter with range," an evaluation from the site reads.

Patrick is the third member of Dawn Staley's 2016 recruiting class, joining point guard Araion Bradshaw and forward Mikiah Harrigan.
