USC high on DL's list

Tampa (Florida) Jefferson’s J’Bril Glaze has quietly accumulated an offer list that has now stretched into the double digits. One of the programs to extend a scholarship recently, South Carolina, has caught the attention of the 6-foot-3, 252-pounder.

“South Carolina has really popped out on my list especially after talking with Coach Muschamp,” Glaze told GamecockCentral.com.

Four other programs make up Glaze’s lead group.

“Then there is Kentucky, Mississippi State, USF, and Indiana. Those are like my top five.”

Muschamp and his coaching staff’s reputation and track record for developing defensive players have captivated the Florida defender.

“The defensive staff is really cool people and talking to them got my excited to get up there,” he explained. “Also, talking to Coach Muschamp and how he wants to use me in his defense fits me as a player.”

Glaze will make a trip on April 2 to in-state program UCF, but the bulk of his upcoming visits will take place this summer.

“I’m taking a bus tour that takes us throughout Florida and to almost all the schools in the east, all the way up to like Rutgers,” he said.

While no firm timeline has been set by Glaze to render a decision, he has a couple of possibilities in mind.

“I don’t know, but possibly during the summer or after our spring game on May 19.”
