Robinson Jr. loves South Carolina camp, planning others

Rock Hill (S.C.) South Pointe class of 2018 cornerback Scott Robinson Jr. is one of several prospects from the school receiving major recruiting interest.

The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder was among a group of South Pointe prospects who worked out at South Carolina's camp Tuesday.

"I really enjoyed working out directly with Coach T-Rob," Robinson Jr. said referring to defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson. "I've met him before. He came to our practice. I really enjoyed getting to work with him, because he's that guy."

Robinson Jr. grew up a fan of both South Carolina and Florida. He enjoyed his latest look at Carolina's program.

"I love it, I love what they're doing there," Robinson Jr. said "They're constantly improving on the campus and getting newer facilities. I like their outdoor fields and their new indoor facility as well."

Robinson, who ran the 40 in 4.5 seconds Tuesday, believes a Carolina offer is a possibility.

"(T-Rob) said that there's a possibility and he was going to run through some things with Coach Muschamp, but for now we're just waiting and praying that it happens," he said.

Robinson Jr. is also hearing from Tennessee, Virginia and N.C. State.

He plans to camp at Tennessee, N.C. State and The Citadel this weekend.
