Quick-hitters: Gamecocks open spring practice
Here are notes from South Carolina's first practice of the spring:
-- Will Muschamp says that the players have a lot expected of them but the coaches also know they're still learning new a scheme. Players have to do a better job of understanding the meeting room and how to take it to the practice field.
-- Chris Lammons says he felt fine working at the nickel spot. He feels comfortable working in the slot.
-- Taylor Stallworth says he's still not 100 percent from the torn pec muscle he suffered last season.
-- Boosie Whitow is very excited about playing the BUCK position and believes it puts him in a position to make a lot of plays.
-- Qua Lewis says the defensive end position he's playing is similar to the one he played last year.
-- T.J. Holloman said that it was by far the toughest winter workout program they've had since he arrived in Columbia.
