Quick hitters: Tuesday defensive talk

South Carolina practice on Tuesday afternoon. Highlights from the post-practice media availability:

- Bryson Allen-Williams said that he's going to be playing in the middle but that he will slide down to play BUCK too in pass-rushing situations.

- Taylor Stallworth said that with Allen-Williams' experience playing end previously, that it would help.

- Robinson reiterated Muschamp's comments about the secondary being light years away. He said it's his job to make sure that they look good and that there are no excuses. They're working on pressing more, incorporating different drills so that they're ready come game time.

- Robinson said they're trying to identify who the BUCK was going to be. He said it was open but mentioned Allen-Williams and Keir Thomas.

- Robinson said that the pass rush had to help alleviating the secondary and that the staff has some guys to work with.

- McClendon said the receiver battle is going to go down to fall camp. He said Bryan Edwards had all the intangibles and talent but that he wanted to see the production match. He said he was also smart.

- McClendon said that Brandon McIlwain's best trait is that he's a steady hand and doesn't get riled up.
