Lattimore adds context to comments

Following Marcus Lattimore's comments to the Knight Commission regarding player safety, there were conclusions jumped to that he was speaking negatively of South Carolina's strength and conditioning program.

Lattimore clarified to GamecockCentral.com via text message:

"I was asked to speak about health and safety for the Knight Commission for student athletes and give some insight on what I think should be of importance. I said we should take a look at the people we spend the most time with during our four years, which is (the) strength coach. That was a pretty common theme out of the 15 guys I talked to at 5 different universities. Not specifying (Joe) Connolly or Fitz (Craig Fitzgerald). Both good ones."

"When I say I was forced to question the programming being administered to myself, I was forced to question because my colleagues that I spoke with were reflecting on their experiences. I reflected on mine and we're all positive from a strength and conditioning standpoint."
