Connor Mitch set to transfer

University of South Carolina junior quarterback Connor Mitch will transfer to another school following his graduation later this summer, it was announced today.

“Connor and I spoke today,” said head coach Will Muschamp. “Connor has the opportunity to graduate from South Carolina this summer and will look to continue his playing career at another university in the fall. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

A 6-4, 216-pounder from Raleigh, N.C., Mitch was named the starting quarterback for 2015 by head coach Steve Spurrier and started the first two games of the season before being sidelined with a pair of season-ending injuries.

“I have enjoyed my time at South Carolina and will graduate later this summer,” said Mitch. “I believe it’s in my best interest to continue my playing career at another school. I’d like to thank all the Gamecock fans for their support during my time in Columbia.”

Mitch is working towards a degree in iPsychology. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
