Brewers select Braden Webb

Freshman right handed pitcher Braden Webb was drafted Friday in the third round of the MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.

Webb, who is coming off Tommy John surgery this year, was drafted No. 82 overall by the National League team.

Webb came onto campus this season and immediatley earned a spot in the weekend rotation. From there, he amassed a team-leading 10 wins in 15 starts with a 3.24 ERA.

Webb had a .214 batting average against and is second on the team in strikeouts with 123.

Last year's 82nd pick received $1.1 million in a signing bonus. This years slotted amount is $764,800.
