West Columbia (S.C.) Airport class of 2017 do-it-all athlete Kerryon Richardson had a standout junior season with 20 receptions for 248 yards and three touchdowns, 49 rushes for 364 yard and eight touchdowns, and four interceptions.

That's led to offers from Appalachian State, Citadel, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee State, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Georgia State, Hampton, Liberty, Mercer, Miami (Oh.), Navy, South Carolina State, Towson and Western Carolina.

Richardson says most of those offers are to play defensive back while Western Carolina wants him as a wide receiver."I'll play anywhere they want me to play," he says.

After camping at South Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Wake Forest and The Citadel this summer, the 5-foot-11, 170-pounder says N.C. State is the Power 5 school that's shown the most interest.

"The defensive backs coach, I talked to him after the camp, and he said that I did good and that he's going to keep in contact with me," Richardson said. "It's a really nice campus and I have a couple of friends that go there. So I think if I get offered, I would like to look at North Carolina State a lot."

Richardson clocked a 4.4-second 40-yard dash at South Carolina and landed a 35.5-inch vertical. He says he's talked with defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson some.

"They give off a really positive vibe about the school," Richardson said. "I think they'll have a good season this year. They give off a lot of positive energy and they've got the guys working hard out there. I can't wait to see what they do this year."

Of the schools that have offered, Richardson says App State, Coastal Carolina, Miami (Oh.), The Citadel, Georgia State and Navy have caught his attention the most.

"I want to go to a school that has good a good academic program and a great support system from the coaching staff," he says.

Richardson plans to make a decision towards the end of his senior season or after it.
